Sugar Skull Wall Art Plaque- Fiona Randall

Morning all Fiona here with a project using Andy's New Release and Previous Release Stamps and Image Transfer Sheets to create a fun piece of wall art.

I started by giving a piece of Grey Board ( 5x12 ins) a coat of grey chalk paint and then stamped all over with Watering Can Archival Ink using Andy's Distressed Wallpaper Stamp ( I absolutely this adore this stamp). Next up I cut three squares of grey board gave them a coat of tinting base and applied distress oxides and spritzed with water to create the feel of aged paper.

I then created a master board onto cardstock using distress oxides and stamped the sugar skull from Andy's new release and the moth twice from Andy's previous release with archival ink and fussy cut. The squares were then given decoration using Andy's Image Transfers from the Poe Diversity and the French Fancy sets. The squares were then attached to the background base using off cuts of grey board to give depth and dimension. The skull was then attached to the centre square using an off cut of grey board to raise. Then the moths applied at jaunty angles to complete the piece. I hope you like this as much as I do. Vintage Bicycle Tag by Suz

Hi all

Here's a vintagy little tag inspired by Andy's new bicycle stamp.

A layer of music paper and some vintage paper from an old accounting book 

that belonged to my darling Betty who passed away in recently aged 102.  

Then layers of stamping, stencilling, some embossing powder and 

die inks all added to create the background.

Plus a little gold (I had to eat a chocolate to be able to reuse that gold wrapper, such sacrifice!). 

Then a grungy rose made from the bicycle wheels, 

and some bandage (cheesecloth) and stamped text. 

A pearl in the flower and a few smaller ones on the verticle gold strip, a bit of ribbon and it's finished.

Circus Roll Up!

Hi everyone Dee here my project today uses Andy's new stamps and embossing powders.

I added some clay stars and film strip along with a rusted 3.

To start off I painted a small tag with black Gesso, I used ultra thick embossing powder along with black embossing powder final coat was Andys granite embossing powder.

Once the stamp had cooled down I used a patina antiquing cream along with the white from Deco art Media line. Once dry i knocked back with a damp cloth.

I then glued on the film strip and attached my stars that had been painted with iron oxide paint from golden. a touch of silver/pewter treasure gold to highlight. The number 3 had been rusted naturally.

I then put a black card backing followed by a craft backing.and attached the word sticks. these were taken from the circus poster which I had re stamped in sepia and glued onto a wooden stirrer.

a small clay cog was used at the top.

Hi my friends

I was so  impatiently waiting to use  the new products of Andy Skinner .

Wooden panel 13 x18 cm

This project consists  of four levels

 1rst level-the wooden panel

I applied a layer of strata paste.It dries quickly.With the compination of acrylic colors i made the rusty effect on the panel.[paynes grey -transparent  yellow iron oxide-cobalt turquise hue-guinacridone gold].I also used chipboard elements and colored them to seem rusty screws.

2nd level

I  glued a book page on a piece of a chipboard.[little bit smaller than the page].

 I used the stencil 'Barbed wire' twice.In the first wire i put modelling paste and then embossing powder[the combination of 3 colours].in the second wire i put acrylic paint.

Then i used the 'grunge wallpaper' stampe all over the page  and ''enigma'' stamp at the edges with archival inks.At the end i distressed the edges again with archival ink.

3rd and 4th level

Of course i will finish my project with my lovely air dry clay.

I rolled out a layer of clay and i made a square tile.I put from the ''earth without art'' stamp only the word ART and second the andy's stamps from the decoart series.After that i stamped on the clay layer the ''sugar skyll' stampand cut it out.I curved it a little and let the pieces of clay to dry.

When they dried i painted them firstly with a gesso and secondly with one coat of acrylic paint.i made the antiquing effect with oil colors.

The final touch.. I added some mixed media transfers from the Poe Diversity sheet 

I wrapped a part of  the clay skull with rusty wire.
