Drift….. Faux Wood Tag

I managed to spend an hour yesterday doing a bit of blog hopping which is rare these days, on my travels I saw a few tags made using the Tim Holtz Texture Fades Wood grain Embossing Folder.
I have had this folder for a while but never felt inspired to use it until now so I combined a few techniques together on Personal Impressions 300 gsm plain white card to produce my take on it!

Paints and mediums used are from Decoart.
Before I go, here is My Grungeboard heart that I shared on Facebook yesterday.

  2. ...oh Andy that Tag is lush!!! apart from the amazing colour, the texture is so tactile and those rusty rivets are a dream :) well, the heart, it's colours, it's textures, my first thought was that of hand sewn sails from a forgotten time, then quickly followed by loVe, it's a gorgeous attention grabber!...another superb posting Andy that takes your breath away...Mel :)
Thank you for your kind words, your admiration of Inkheart made my day :)

  5. Deliciously weathered, worn and rugged - the tag feels as though it's been slooshing around for generations. Just gorgeous. And thank you so much for sharing the utterly glorious heart here. As an adamant non-Facebooker (I will not give in, I will not give in), I would never have seen it otherwise. You've inspired me completely to start exploring these techniques. I'm in awe.
