Fun with Gelli!

On Sunday I was up at the Stamp Attic in Wantage holding my techniques class, (a big hello to everyone there :) anyway.... I was lucky enough to receive an early xmas present from Wendy.... a Gelli Arts printing plate, I have had my eye on these for a while and could not wait to give it a go.


So here are my first attempts, colours on the first one are in this order,
  1. Traditions Indian Yellow
  2. " Quinacridrone Violet
  3. Cyan Blue
  4. Traditions Sapphire blue (thinned with glazing medium)
Finally.... a sneak peak... it was finished in Carbon Black with a couple of stencils from a range I am releasing early next year.

Finally, this piece is not using the Gelli Plate but is acrylic on watercolour paper, with more new stencils.

      Thank you Von... still loving the hint of Pink Rejoice piece you did..... the key seems to be planning your colours beforehand, making sure they are not too heavy on the Gelli plate and my love..... translucent acrylic colours :)

    Lucky old you!! I'm sure it's really difficult to get results this fab Andy! I love the top one, the 'pish' (??) and your last piece on the watercolour paper with THOSE new stencils is delicious! Have a wonderful Christmas and see you on the 6th at the CB!

    Loving the artwork using the Gelli plate, looking forward to Santa bringing mine even more now.
    The stencils are fab-u-lous, feel really lucky to have used some of them already at the techniques class last Sunday.
    Really looking forward to them 'going live' next year, they are on my wish list already.

    These artworks are great Andy, I've been wanting a Gelli plate for ages and it's great to know that you can get them in the UK now. Hopefully Santa got my letter. Lina x

    I am amazed by the thoughts in your head and the 'gob smacking' results on paper (or card or canvas). Why I am so drawn to that skull baffles me, but I will have to buy the stamp. Come up north and do a workshop and beg our Lindsay to attend too.
