October Sale & Unveil Day

We have just held the last sale and unveil day of 2010 at Country Love Ceramics, where has the year gone?

The day was started with Jenny giving a brief introduction on the new products. This was then followed by each customer explaining a little about themselves and there businesses. It was so interesting, one comment that totally shocked me came from Sian and Jill who are the owners of Pottery Pals, a PYOP based in Wokingham. Their adult evenings are now drawing in 40 customers, that is absolutely amazing. They have also discovered a new technique involving plaster out-prints and have sold 50 out-prints in one month…50!!!  Hats of to you ladies.
Our new products were then unveiled and passed around the tables. Next we moved onto the workshops.
My favourite workshop of the day had to be the new children's face plates. These plates can be transformed into a variety of animals, all you need is a little imagination and the possibilities are endless. Templates were provided or alternatively customers could come up with there own design. They certainly did not disappoint, we had elephants, pigs, Santa, Mickey Mouse and Pudsey Bear to name but a few.
A prize was awarded by our panel of independent adjudicators for the best plate…(Simon Cowell eat your heart out! :)
Here is the winning plate by Jo Hart of The Pottery & Craft Studio, you are now through to boot camp!

The stamping demo caused so much interest that after reading the evaluation forms I have decided to announce a date for a course covering Ink and acrylic techniques on bisque in January 2011. A date will be released for this workshop soon.

Take care,
Andy
