Moroccan Tile - by Hannah Oxberry

Happy New Year! Welcome to my first project for the Andy Skinner Creative Team 2019.
For this project I decided to channel the vibes of Moroccan Tiles and create something with a striped back colour palette.
A fairly simple project; the focus of the design is one of Andys' scrapmetal fish mounted to the centre of the "tile". The substrate of the project has been decorated with decoupage papers in a tile design, I have brayered white over the top to knock the design back a little.
Craft sticks, painted in a weather worn finish, add height to the design as well as offering the scrapmetal fish a platform.

The fish itself has been decorated in decoupage papers and the same colour palette as the previous layers. One step crackle and antiquing cream offer texture to the surfaces, while washes of paynes grey and quinacridone gold age the piece further still.

I hope you have enjoyed this project, see you next time!
