Curio Fish Tag by Hannah Oxberry

Hi all, Hannah here with my latest project for the Andy Skinner Creative Team. Today I am sharing a tag created using Andy's Tagtastic 2 kit.

I have taken then scrapyard fish and used this with the larger tag.
The elements of the fish have been embossed to created a deep texture to the surface, with each element being painted in a different faux metal effect. I have also used the washer and book plate to give added detail.

Layers of painted, rubbed back and crackled, create a grungy background. Edges of the tag and areas of the fish have been darkened using Paynes Grey, sponged on to the surface to give more drama and depth to the tag.

Rusty wire looped through the eye and the top of the tag add more grungy details.

Decoupage paper has also been included in the layered background with a crackle glaze top to add an even more weathered look.

The word "Curio" is from Illusionary Artists Word Up & Numbers stamp set, adding the perfect sentiment to finish the tag.

I hope you have enjoyed this project! Until next time :)
