Mechanical Fish Tag by Monika Maksym

 Hi !
It's Monika here with my latest tag.
To start with I've painted my tag with black gesso, then using brayer I've applied a layer of chalky finish paint in revive. To add some interest to the background I've used my favourite  Andy's Tech trauma and Steampunk stamps.

Next step was to create textured tiles and fish elements. I've cut the greyboard into a small rectangular shapes. Then using texture sand paste, modeling paste and stencils I've added different textures to each of the tiles and fish pieces. Then I've painted them with chalky finish and acrylic paints, stamped on and glued them on the tag and fish mdf base.

To finish it off  I have added washes of paynes grey, english red oxide and quinacridone gold, some paint splatters and rusty wire.

Thank You for stopping by, I hope You've enjoyed my post.

Monika, x
