Mixed Media Panel with Andy's New Product- by Fiona Randall

Morning Fiona here today to share a project with some of Andy's new products and to say I'm in love is an understatement.
I wanted to play with the new Lava paste so I created an assemblage piece using the lava paste as my main focus for a textured background. This paste gives an amazing texture as you heat dry it. Once dry I gave the whole background a coat of DecoArt Chalky finish in carbon and then blended DecoArt Media Fluid Interference acrylics until I was happy with the result. Finally a wash of Quinacrodone Gold was applied to finish.
Panels were then given an aged Patina bronze effect and applied to the background in a staggered formation. Next up one of Andy's Door plates and frame from his Industrial Elements set was given the rusty treatment and an eye print placed behind.
I then stamped Andy's new Gypsie Queen Moth stamp with versamark onto black cardstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then painted the butterfly with the interference paints to match the background and fussy cut and attached to the rusty doorplate and attached to the main piece as shown.
Texture sand paste was then applied to a bookplate from the Industrial elements set and a die cut fleur de lyes. these were then given the same treatment as the textured background and added to the panel and doorplate as shown.
Finally some of Andy's new transfers were applied to the bookplate inner and the bronze panels to finish. I am amazed how easy they were to apply.
Close up Detail.

  2. It's a great project and the result is really realistic. It's a pity that in the andy DT you don't make videos like in the other dt, because sometimes with the approximate translation not always easy to understand. I expect the new products soon I will do tests and hope to achieve such superb results. Well done.
