Gears of War by Fiona Randall

Morning all Fiona here today to share my latest creation utilising a new substrate called Bubbalux Craft Board. For many of you that attend The Ministry of Mixolgy events a small sample of this was included in your April Goody Bag. You can paint. emboss, die cut and even shape it when heated as it becomes mouldable.

I had fun heating it and moulding a piece of armour which I added a rusty feel to with Decoart Texture sand paste and media fluid acrylics  for my focal point of this piece. I must say that I love the stuff and the possibilities are endless. Crackle paste was applied to and MDF Board and washes of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics were added when dry. Stamping was then added to the board base using Andy's Stempunk Stamp set with black Archival ink. A coat of DecoArt Media Ultra Matte Varnish was then applied to protect and seal the board base. To compliment the armour I created a shield from Tando Grey Board sheets  which was then embossed and paint effects added. Wings from Tando Creative and Cogs from Andy's Industrial Elements kit  were then given the rusty treatment too. DecoArt  Decoupage paper was then applied to the wood dowels and inked with Archival Ink in Potting Soil. All elements were then arranged on the board base to finish.

Here is a close up of the lovely crackle texture.

Hope I have inspired you to try creating with Bubbalux. Thanks for stopping by today.
