Andy's Retro Stencil Set By Dee

Hi everyone I have Andy's retro stencil set for you today this set contains 5 stencils and the covers.
I have decorated the covers with 2 stencils from the set.

firstly I laid the stencils out picked 2 out and placed them on the covers mistake I made was I forgot to check which way up so one side is perfect and on the other its upside down so be warned.

I used texture sand paste through the stencils and allowed to dry. I followed this with a coat of Raw Umber all the paints and pastes are from Andy's Skinner lines from # Creative Expressions the only exception was the texture sand paste and crackle paint which was #Deco Art media. I used Andy's resist paste round the edges.

# Tando creative make Andy's stencil pack I also used a compass and a compass mini thats were coated with texture sand paste and then given a coat of Raw Umber once dry i swiped the smaller cog with Versamark and scattered funky cold patina embossing enamels over it and heat set.

I gave the covers a coat of crackle paint this again comes from the Deco art media line. Once this was dry I rubbed back the areas that had resist paste with a cloth. I then sanded over the entire area with a sanding block and wiped clean before I started the 3 washes of transparent yellow oxide I allowed it to dry naturally.

I followed with washes of Prussian Blue I think it was 3 washes again this was followed with
individually painting quinacridone gold. To finish the covers where given a coat of Super matt medium.

I stamped the gypsie queen onto stamping paper twice embossed it and gave it a coat of clear gesso. Next I used ecocline inks to colour the moth by coating with clear gesso first you get a true/vibrant  colour from the inks.

I attached little painted gems to areas and attached a change through the lot to hold them together.
I hope you have all enjoyed my post would love to hear your feedback cheers Dee x
